- Work continuously. Do not stop halfway to take a break. Excess glue may dry and cause visible stains or unevenness, which will affect the final result. When wallpapering multiple walls, you may pause in a corner.
Close doors and windows to prevent draughts. This prevents the drying time of the wallpaper glue from being affected. The average working time of the glue is about 10 minutes. Make sure you can work undisturbed for the best result.
- Wallpaper your wall from bottom to top for more control. This provides extra stability and control over the wallpaper roll. And it is easier to see whether the roll aligns properly with the pattern.
- EcoMural wallpaper with grey backing: perfect coverage. This sturdy wallpaper with a grey backing ensures that the wallpaper is not transparent. Your current wall may have various colours – they will not be visible through the wallpaper.
- Protect your wallpaper in the kitchen, toilet or bathroom. In damp areas such as the kitchen, toilet or bathroom, it is advisable to apply a matte, transparent PU coating. This protects against discolouration and moisture. Always test the adhesion of the coating to ensure that it bonds well. This wallpaper is not suitable for permanently wet areas such as showers.
- Wallpapering alone or with two people? Decorazzi EcoMural wallpaper rolls are 140 cm wide. If it’s your first time, we recommend doing it with a friend or family member. Even for experienced wallpaperers, the roll width can be a challenge. Make a sensible decision.
- Always order 5 to 10 cm of extra wallpaper all around. This gives you enough material if the wallpaper is slightly misaligned or if your walls are not completely straight, which is often the case in old buildings.
- Be careful with sharp objects. If a wallpaper panel is damaged, we cannot supply an identical replacement panel. This is technically impossible. You will need to reorder the entire wall.
